Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as tight-ends within the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends of all time, he is the holder of an NFL record for the most receiving yards for any tight end. Gonzalez is also ranked third in all time for the amount of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst on FOX studio. Gonzalez has appeared on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's 1-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL SUNRISE) and is broadcast every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
On March 15, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign to the Falcons for a two-year $14 million contract despite claiming that Gonzalez would retire following the 2013 season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 years old) spent last season as one of the NFL's top receivers.
